We believe that feeling connected — to the cosmos, to each other, to something larger than yourself — is already written into every human being. It lives in the subconscious, waiting to surface. welcomeArtist exists to wake it up.

Why we exist

welcomeArtist makes wearable ideas for people who sense that the universe is stranger and more beautiful than they were taught — because we believe art, worn close to the body, can pull the soul back into alignment with the cosmos. Not by adding something new. By reminding you of what was always there.

Our founder built this brand while simultaneously developing AI technology to reconnect people experiencing homelessness to the services, shelter, and dignity they deserve. These two projects are not separate. They are the same belief, expressed in two different directions: one reaches inward, toward the self; one reaches outward, toward the most forgotten. Every purchase funds both.

Joel Chavez brings his extraordinary spray paint art to the welcomeArtist collective — cosmic work made by hand, with the kind of depth and movement that no digital tool has yet replicated. His pieces don't illustrate our philosophy. They are our philosophy, made visible.
